Infectious Disease Research in Munich
The quality and integration of research in the area of Infectious Diseases and Immunology in Munich is well documented by existing research networks.
Members of ZIMM have initiated these research networks or have made significant contributions to them. The ZIMM research infrastructure has arisen from these pre-existing structures.
Through the involvement of institutes involved in basic research as well as direct patient care, access to specialized equipment and facilities is enhanced. ZIMM also provides a balanced management structure for the definition of focal points – both technical and methodical – in infectious disease research and carries out joint projects under national and international sponsorship.
